Directions From Blandford Forum take the A350 towards Warminster and after a few miles at a set of traffic lights turn left on to the A357 towards Sturminster Newton and Sherborne. On reaching the traffic lights on the outskirts of Sturminster Newton, continue straight on in the left hand lane. Do not turn right over the bridge into Sturminster Newton town centre. You will pass Sturminster Newton Mill entrance on your right and after a short distance take the first left turn, which is signposted Fifehead Neville and Hazelbury Bryan. This road is called Glue Hill. Keep on this road and after half a mile at Rivers Corner, the road bears right. Do not take the turning on your left which is marked Fifehead St.Quintin, (GPS may direct you to take this turning, but it is not recommended), and keep on the same road, passing the entrance of Coolplay (0.6 miles from A357) and Plumber Manor (1.1 miles from A357), which are both on your left. At 2 miles from the A357, you will see a Road Narrows sign and just after this, turn left into a narrow lane (known as Dark Lane on GPS). Follow this lane for about half a mile and you will find the entrance to Belview on your left just shortly after Fifehead Neville village sign. Belview Cottage is on the left when you turn into the entrance. Coming from Wincanton/Sherborne on the A357 – on entering Sturminster Newton pass North Dorset Business Park on the left and 30 mph signs, then take the next right turn, signed Fifehead Neville and Hazelbury Bryan into Glue Hill. Continue as per third paragraph above. From London, take the M3 and then the A303. Leave the A303 at the A350 just after Chicklade and head towards Shaftesbury. On the outskirts of Shaftesbury, take the A30 towards Sherborne and Yeovil. At East Stour, turn left onto the B3092 towards Sturminster Newton. Go through Sturminster Newton – straight on at the first set of traffic lights and at the second set, go over the bridge and turn right on to the A357 towards Lydlinch/Stalbridge. Continue as per second paragraph above. |
